About The Author of this site
The author of this site is Elizabeth De Cicco, an amateur mycologist-botanist and natural science illustrator. She studied botany and plant morphology through a program offered by NJCF/PPA, NYBG, and field trips held by local botanical societies. While learning plants and fungi, she began illustrating them in watercolor. Elizabeth went on to take botanical illustration classes at the New York Botanical Garden and she will be working on her final certificate project soon.
At Stockton, Elizabeth has been working on a nature trail for a graduate assistantship project. She has mapped existing trails, recorded observations of species, and developed illustrations for trees on campus. The project will be complete by the end of the Spring 2022 semester, with QR codes along the trail that link to information on the website.
